Brian Sirgutz is the Founder and CEO of Ampathy, a proprietary technology that turns everyday, global media consumers into philanthropists. Brian was most recently the Senior Vice President of Social Impact and Social Innovation at The Huffington Post / AOL, where he led all aspects of the company’s impact editorial content, business development and engagement strategy. Brian founded the award-winning Impact, Education, and Good News verticals, which reach over 22 million people on a monthly basis, and contributed to the Impact, Pulitzer Prize-winning series ‘Beyond The Battlefield.’
As a driver of innovation in the philanthropic content space, Brian lectures at tech and media conferences about “content as a means for social change.” Brian spoke on the main stage at SXSW, presenting a keynote with Biz Stone, the co-founder of Twitter.
Brian serves on Global Communications Advisory Committee for the Council on Foreign Relations and is a Fellow for the Tribeca Disruptive Foundation. Brian also advises The White House’s Innovation for Disaster Response and Recovery Initiative.
